James Rees

As a family, we've faced profoundly difficult challenges, including addiction, incarceration, and the heartbreak of having an estranged daughter. These experiences have challenged us deeply, but they have also taught us about perseverance, compassion, and the importance of continuing to love even through hardship. As an artist, my series "the weight be carry' shares this struggle and i seek to convey optimism in our ability to handle difficult circumstances. I believe that art has the power to create connection and invite meaningful conversations and offer support in tough times.
