Ruth Burling

I have had twenty-seven jobs in my life. I needed jobs to pay my bills and could not be picky on what type of jobs I worked. I worked in a sugar beet factory, a group home, a plastics factory and many restaurants, plus more. Needed to pay for college, college loans and to save for a house. I did graduate from college, and I did work hard to eventually work in the pharmaceutical field. It was a long road but eventually people recognized my intelligence, work ethic and caring attitude. Everything my husband and I have (a home, vehicles, no debt, a nest egg) we did all on our own! I have a deep appreciation for ALL the jobs people do. EVERY job is important! I see the young women who works hard cleaning at the gym I go to. It is always so clean and nice, and I know it is because of her. I asked her if she gets a day off and she said Sundays. I appreciate all she does with a great attitude to make the gym a sanitary (and shiny) place to go. I see people working at so many jobs making a living and contributing to society. We should not discount any job because each job works towards a organization's goal. EVERY job is important!
