MAKE CONNECTIONS ….you never know the impact they may have. One of the greatest lessons travel taught me had nothing to do with monuments, museums, or passport stamps. It was the importance of making connections with people wherever life takes you, because you never know when — or how — those relationships may matter. A former colleague in Croatia whom I hadn’t seen in years answered a late-night text and, within an hour, helped locate a missing young woman I had never met. What later struck me most when the dust settled was not just the speed of the solution, but the realization that kindness and friendship can stretch across continents and time. The people we meet along the way are more than memories or networking contacts; they become part of an invisible safety net that can change lives in moments we never anticipate.
