I chose the message "My Health in My Hands" because it reflects a lesson I have learned throughout my personal and professional journey: no matter how demanding life becomes, I am ultimately responsible for taking care of myself. As a wife, mother, and executive leading global teams, there are always competing priorities. It is easy to put everyone else's needs first, but I have learned that when I neglect my own well-being, I cannot show up as my best self for the people who depend on me. This message is also about empowerment. We cannot control every challenge that comes our way, but we can control how we care for our minds, bodies, and spirits. For me, health is not just the absence of illness. It is having the energy, resilience, and clarity to lead, support my family, and pursue the things that matter most in life. "My Health in My Hands" means making a conscious decision every day to prioritize my well-being. It means recognizing that my physical, mental, and emotional health are interconnected and that each deserves attention. Whether it is taking time to meditate, reflect, exercise, or simply create moments of balance in a busy day, those choices are investments in myself and in the people around me. The phrase also reminds me that health is a lifelong journey that requires a daily commitment to making the right choices for a healthy life. This journey demands consistency, self-awareness, and the willingness to adapt as life evolves. When I take ownership of my health, I am better equipped to navigate challenges, embrace opportunities, and lead with purpose and authenticity. This message is deeply connected to my life experience. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to lead large global teams and manage significant responsibilities. At the same time, I have been committed to being present for my family and maintaining strong relationships. Balancing those roles has taught me that success is not sustainable without wellness. There have been periods when work demands were intense and the pace was relentless. During those times, practices such as meditation, reflection, and intentionally creating space for myself became essential. They helped me stay grounded, focused, and resilient. My health is not separate from my success—it has been the foundation that allows me to perform at a high level, support those I love, and continue growing both personally and professionally. That is why "My Health in My Hands" is more than a slogan to me; it is a mindset that has shaped how I live and lead.
