“9/11 MM - No Bad Days”

Dear World On September 11, 2001, I was in the subway station beneath the World Trade Center. Like millions of others, I started that day expecting it to be ordinary. Instead, it became the day that forever changed how I see life. I was fortunate enough to make it out before the towers collapsed. Many others never had that chance. For years, I carried the weight of that experience and the realization that life can change in an instant. Over time, that lesson became two simple reminders written on my arms: 9/11 – M.M. Memento Mori — remember that you will die. Not as a message of fear, but as a call to live. Because when you truly understand that life is finite, you begin to appreciate what matters most: the people you love, the moments you share, and the opportunities you have today. That perspective evolved into my second message: No Bad Days. Not because every day is easy. Life brings challenges, loss, disappointment, and uncertainty. But every day we wake up is a gift. Every day offers another chance to learn, grow, love, help someone, or simply be present. The events of 9/11 taught me that tomorrow is never guaranteed. So I choose gratitude over complaint. Purpose over regret. Presence over distraction. Memento Mori. No Bad Days. A reminder that life is precious, every moment matters, and every day is worth living fully.
