It's about how she passed through all the difficult from the beginning of life and dedicating all her life to the kids, me, my sister and my brother. Until today. I am who I am because of her. She was born in a small city in the south of Brazil, close to Uruguay, called Bage. She decided to move out of the city at 16 to get a job in the south capital called Porto Allegri [?] and then she went to Sao Paolo to try to find a better life. She got married, had kids. But when I was 7 my father left the family, he left her with three kids. She was working in a state bank for her whole life and educated us as best she could. I studied in a public school in South America – you can imagine. When I was in primary school, I went to the school with a bus by myself – you go to the street, ask for the bus, get a bus. There was no infrastructure to do something different. It was a traditional street bus. I figured out that the only way to move forward out of these kinds of economic situations was to study. But before that, I tried to find something in the army. I quit it quickly because it was too tough. But she is 65 right now and she is still helping my brother because he has some troubles. I think that the most important thing is that she always decides by family. No matter how difficult the situation. If we needed to change our house because we couldn't afford it, or change the city to go to a small city in the countryside because of the prices of things in the capital – it didn't matter what happened, she always tried to help us and choose the kids. Once my sister decided to go to Japan – she got married and went to Japan. Once my sister called my mom saying 'I need your help' and she just left everything behind and flew to Japan to help her. She stayed there for one year and when everything was alright she went back to Brazil. She is still making sacrifices. She's now retired, but when my brother needs something, she gets money or she puts herself in a lot of situations to protect him. C: Has she ever given you words of wisdom? Yes of course. An example. One very important lesson. Never never stop being resilient. Everything is going to be fine. Stop, think, and solve it. You could get angry sometimes because of a situation, but be resilient and think of how to solve it. Don't just start doing things. This is one of the most important lessons. And also, be responsible. You need to deliver your promises. If you promise something, deliver it. Your honor is more important than everything.
